proof for hakka bukka being kuruba...

proof for hakka bukka being kuruba

There are a number of other traditions relating to the birth of the city and empire of Vijayanagar.

One has it that two brothers named Bukka and Harihara, who had been in the service of the king of Warangal at the time of the destruction of that kingdom by the Muhammadans in 1323, escaped with a small body of horse to the hill country about Anegundi, being accompanied in their flight by the Brahman Madhava or Madhavacharya Vidyaranya, and by some means not stated became lords of that tract, afterwards founding the city of Vijayanagar.[29]

Another states that the two brothers were officers in the service of the Muhammadan governor of Warangal subsequent to its first capture in 1309. They were despatched against the Hoysala Ballala sovereign in the expedition under the command of Malik Kafur in 1310, which resulted in the capture of the Hindu capital, Dvarasamudra; but the portion of the force to which the brothers belonged suffered a defeat, and they fled to the mountainous tract near Anegundi. Here they met the holy Madhava, who was living the life of a recluse, and by his aid they established the kingdom and capital city.

A variant of this relates that the two brothers for some reason fled direct from Warangal to Anegundi. This account redounds more to their honour as Hindus. Though compelled first to accept service under their conquerors, their patriotism triumphed in the end, and they abandoned the flesh pots of Egypt to throw in their luck with their co-religionists.

A fourth story avers that the hermit Madhava himself founded the city after the discovery of a hidden treasure, ruled over it himself, and left it after his death to a Kuruba family who established the first regular dynasty.

A fifth, mentioned by Couto,[30] who fixes the date as 1220, states that while Madhava was living his ascetic life amongst the mountains he was supported by meals brought to him by a poor shepherd called Bukka, "and one day the Brahman said to him, 'Thou shalt be king and emperor of all Industan.' The other shepherds learned this, and began to treat this shepherd with veneration and made him their head; and he acquired the name of 'king,' and began to conquer his neighbours, who were five in number, viz., Canara, Taligas, Canguivarao, Negapatao, and he of the Badagas, and he at last became lord of all and called himself Boca Rao." He was attacked by the king of Delhi, but the latter was defeated and retired, whereupon Bukka established a city "and called it Visaja Nagar, which we corruptly call Bisnaga; and we call all the kingdom by that name, but the natives amongst themselves always call it the 'kingdom of Canara.' " Couto's narrative seems to be a mixture of several stories. His wrong date points to his having partly depended upon the original chronicle of Nuniz, or the summary of it published by Barros; while the rest of the tale savours more of Hindu romance than of historical accuracy. He retains, however, the tradition of an attack by the king of Delhi and the latter's subsequent retirement.

Another authority suggests that Bukka and Harihara may have been feudatories of the Hoysala Ballalas.

Nikitin, the Russian traveller, who was in India in 1474, seems to favour the view that they belonged to the old royal house of the Kadambas of Banavasi, since he speaks of "the Hindoo Sultan Kadam," who resided at "Bichenegher."[31]

Here we have a whole bundle of tales and traditions to account for the origin of the great kingdom, and can take our choice. There are many others also. Perhaps the most reasonable account would be one culled from the general drift of the Hindu legends combined with the certainties of historical fact; and from this point of view we may for the present suppose that two brothers, Hindus of the Kuruba caste, who were men of strong religious feeling, serving in the treasury of the king of Warangal, fled from that place on its sack and destruction in 1323 and took service under the petty Rajah of Anegundi. Both they and their chiefs were filled with horror and disgust at the conduct of the marauding Moslems, and pledged themselves to the cause of their country and their religion. The brothers rose to be minister and treasurer respectively at Anegundi. In 1334 the chief gave shelter to Baha-ud-din, nephew of Muhammad of Delhi, and was attacked by the Sultan. Anegundi fell, as narrated by Batuta, and the Sultan retired, leaving Mallik as his deputy to rule the state. Mallik found the people too strong for him, and eventually the Sultan restored the country to the Hindus, raising to be rajah and minister respectively the two brothers who had formerly been minister and treasurer. These were Harihara I. ("Hukka") and Bukka I.

kuruba thoughts...

kuruba thoughts
" Kuruba are the 3rd largest cohesive group and might become the second largest group after this census in karnataka" But when it comes to employment, social, educational, economical status we are'nt third.. we are far behind... The reason friends is political deprivedness.. unless and until we Unite and think radically that 'yes' we have to get our share of political power and then our leaders proactively help our Community members to get into prominent positions then " Things will change"... For this to happen we have to start building our Home, Our party.. RSP (Rashtriya Samaj Party)... The voice of the Silent majority.. A party headed by a Kuruba Nationally Mr mahdev jankar.. And If we succeed in building this own House of ours it will give shelter and patronage to our community leaders who are always targeted by dominant community's in Other partys like congress and JD-s... As long as we have options the existing political parites will respect Kuruba's if not they ill treat us.. It is imperative that every Kuruba have RSP in their heart for its the party of "Kuruba" in particular and Rashtriya samaj (Ahinda) in general..

Tireless Minority... To Build Community

It only requires a tireless minority to kindle bush fires in the minds of Kuruba.. and every politically aware kuruba should do this job as a "kayaka" for his community... Lets start the work of enlightening our people to Unite.. and bring about a political revolution....

Do u all know how we can educate Our kuruba to Unite.. If the members in kuruba sene add all kuruba they know in karnataka.. They inturn take little time off to educate their relatives, friends who dont have access to facebook... But the point is Do we have little time for the community ???
Arise ! Awake ! Shepherds of India.. lets make a difference for our future generations.. For community development is not passed in genes to future generations and it has to be protected and fought for by every generation so that we are not extinct...

jago... Kuruba... jago

jago kuruba jago...
According to Cathy Perme, the Anatomy of a Change Agent -A CLEAR MIND, one that is not cluttered with unresolved issues or unexamined motives. -EYES that can see beyond today. -EARS that can listen to other points of view. -A NOSE that can sense opportunities and timing. -A MOUTH that can speak out with honesty and respect. -A HEART that can feel others’ pain and respond with compassion. -A FIRE IN THE BELLY – a sense of passion and responsibility that makes one want to rise each morning. -SKILLFUL HANDS that can do scut work as well as strategy. -LIGHT FEET that can move swiftly when the timing is right. -The SOUL OF A WARRIOR, with a deep sense of honor, perseverance, and patience, along with the willingness to act decisively. Every educated and a politically Aware Kuruba needs to volunteer himself/herself as an agent of change.. and have all the anatomical characteristics as mentioned above.. Then Community development will happen.. jago Kuruba jago.. jai Kuruba jai RSP...

I have to change for community to change.....

" I" have to change...
'There can be no political revolution, no social revolution, no economic revolution. The only revolution is that of the spirit; it is individual. And if millions of individuals change, then the society will change as a consequence, not vice versa. You cannot change the society first and hope that individuals will change later on." - OSHO'. We always tell that We "kuruba" are not United... Not politically aware... But how can that happen if " I " i.e every " individual" is not committed to the community and not politically aware.. And when all I's change.. then the community will change.. Its not vice-versa.. So when every Kuruba in this country is community focussed and politically aware in the interest of the community.. Will that change happen which every kuruba craves for " Unity" within community.. which will lead to political empowerment (revolution) and then social, economic, educational revolution will fall in place... Jago.. kuruba..jago.. Volunteer to Make this decade " Decade of the Kuruba" jai kuruba.. jai RSP..

Namma mane- RSP (Rashtriya Samaj Paksha)

Nationally we shepherds (kuruba/dhangar/pal/baghel/rabari/kuruva/ma/kurubhar) are nearly 10-11% of the total population... we are fragmented among states and If we can consolidate (Unite).. Then kuruba voice is going be heard loud in the supreme House of India... Then with political patronage for the community..Our community will thrive and If all educated people of our community come forward to join hands then our rural brothers n sisters will be proud of Us... Arise ! Awake ! Shepherds of India.. lets make a difference for our future generations.. For community development is not passed in genes to future generations and it has to be protected and fought for by every generation so that we are not extinct.. I clearly see a forum for this consolidation to happen in india and i.e RSP (Rashtriya Samaj Party).. Our party.. Our Home, namma mane, hamara Ghar... Unite to make This decade " The decade of the shepherds (kuruba)"......

Tactical Voting- key to success for kuruba

Tactical voting- Key to success for kuruba

Kuruba, yadhava,Golla, wodeyars are all yadhu vamshis and also part of OBC/Ahinda.. Now we have other OBC/minorities and Dalits they are all part of Ahinda and Kuruba have to take lead in consolidating Ahinda.. How can we make it happen????

Tactical Voting (T.V) is the Key.. TV is every community consolidating and voting enbloc to other communities who are Our frnds and who vote for our community candidates.. kuruba consolidates (unites) and votes for yadhava,Golla, wodeyar and othe OBC candidates and in turn OBC/yadhava/golla/wodeyar as a community vote for kuruba.. Similar will be for minority and Dalit candidates since they are also part of Ahinda.. so where ever dalit or minority candidates stand we kuruba support them and they in turn support or vote enbloc to our candidates.. This is tactical Voting.. For tactical voting to happen two things are the key.. One is Unity within community (kuruba) and respect and be very accomodative towards friendly communities like golla/yahdava/OBC/dalit/minority.. kuruba has 10% .. golla/yadhava/wodeyar may be 2 to 3% So we yadhuvamshis only beccome 12 to 13%.. Then OBC/Dalit/minorities put together are around 70% ..So if kuruba and yadhu vamshi communities with 12 to 13% Plus if we can mobilise around 20 to 25% among Ahinda.. Then this Social re-engineering can be a powerful combination which can come to power in karnataka.. and make this decade the "Decade of the Kuruba and Ahinda"

Pl Pl consolidate community under one forum.. may be kuruba sene can take lead and be very accomodative to OBC/Dalit/minorities...

Jai Kuruba.. Jai Ahinda.. Lets practise Tactical Voting....

kuruba are moolnivasis of not only India But also the world..

kuruba are moolnivasi (original inhabitants) of India

I was dicussing with few thinkers who do research on shepherds (mr J.p baghel n Mr umed singh rabari ) and he was telling me that earlier civilisation was harappa n mohendejaro.. this is somewhere in modern afganistan.. so these earlier inhabitants (one group) came down and lived in modern gujarat/rajastan.. they were called ( wait i will reveal at the last).. another group left to mesopotamia (modern egypt).. so we can relate these two groups to be ahirs (aryans) and dravidians.. then after some time the group in gujarat/rajastan were attacked by muslim kings ( may be turks/mongolians) so this group came down south to maharastra/Madhya pradesh/UP and into the plains and mountains few reared sheep and were called shepherds and few reared cows were called cowherds.. But both cowherds and shepherds are yadhu vamshis and are called dhangar in present mahrastra, pal/baghel in MP/UP.. and rabari/gaderia in gujarat/rajastan.. Now the earlier inhabitants from mahrastra/MP/UP came further down south to Andhra/karnataka and are called kuruba/kuruma/kuruva as time progressed.. And finally through the western ghats into the plains of AP/karnataka to Tamil nadu and kerala.. As kurumbars... So the theory doing rounds among kuruba thinkers/writers is that kurumbar/kuruba are the earlier civilisation of harappa n mohendajaro who came down south and settled in tamilnadu/karnataka... They are none other than our Kadu kuruba/jenu kuruba who live in south karnataka (chamarajnagar/coorg into tamil nadu).. So if kuruba down south have links to mohendajaro and harappa and if thats is the most ancient civilisation.. Then We " Kuruba" are the moolnivasi of not only India But also the world...

Now if u can see the orginal two groups one came south (kuruba) and the other one went west and settled in mesopotamia (modern egypt).. ok now jesus christ the good shepherd and if u read the bible most of them were shepherds and have fought for sheep and sheep was close to their heart.. and other civilisation muslims too md paigambar also was a shepherd.. This proves that the earlier civilisation in harappa and mohendajaro were shepherds.. and we Kuruba are the moolnivasi (original inhabitants) of India and the world..

Now we moolnivasi should be the rulers of our land.. hence the need to consolidate OBC/Dalit/muslims.christians.. By OBC (kuruba/golla/yadhava/wodeyars as yadhuvamshis and idiga too) and Dalits/muslims/chritians since they too are shepherds n they too are moolnivasi and we all belong to one tribe.. the tribe of shepherds..

So lets Rule Our land..The land of our fore fathers.. And we Kuruba should take lead in this consolidation and for this to happen wee have to consolidate first..

Jai Kuruba.. Jai Ahinda..Jai moolnivasi..

Decade of the Kuruba

Decade of the Kuruba means that we have to socially, economically, educationally and politically grow in this decade and the strides of progress should improve drastically over the last few decades. Drastically means we have to double or triple our earlier achievements.

We should gain Political momentum, we should gain Bureaucratic momentum that means more people into civil services , KAS, Class 1 & 2, We should find more Doctors, engineers, software engineers, government employees among our community, We should gain Social momentum by consolidation of Ahinda, Kuruba should be seen as a community which fights for social justice and helped Consolidate Ahinda for social, economical, educational and political empowerment of all deprived communites (Ahinda) and by gaining all these will lead to Economical momentum and we will find kuruba entreprenuers who will be big like NRN, premji, majumdar etc.. RSP .Rashtriya Samaj party will work to gain Political Momentum since Political empowerment leads to social, economical and educational momentum to make this Decade " The Decade of the Kuruba "
